How Magnetic Locks Work

When energized by 12V or 24V DC power, the electromagnet holds the armature plate with a specified holding force ranging from 280kg for light interior doors to 1200kg for heavy exterior and perimeter gates.

The lock is released by cutting power - triggered by an access reader (keypad, card, fingerprint, or mobile), a push-to-exit button, a fire alarm signal, or a manual override. Magnetic locks are fail-safe —they release automatically on power failure, which meets fire safety requirements.
